Snip Madness is the perfect way for men to enjoy the tournament while recovering from a vasectomy. The trend began in 2008 when the Oregon Urology Institute decided to use the tournament as a distraction for men undergoing vasectomy surgery. Since then, “Vas Madness” specials have become increasingly popular across the country, with clinics offering basketball-themed swag and bags of frozen peas to aid in recovery. The promotion, which began as “Snip City” in Portland, has spread to university-run clinics and other large providers.

At Oregon Men’s Health, We imagine you could use a really good excuse to camp out on the couch for The NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. True? Then schedule a vasectomy during our Snip Madness! Vasectomy event. Recover from your procedure and enjoy a few days of non-stop college basketball action! All of our snip madness patients will get a t-shirt letting everyone know you retired the swim team & a Vas Deferens beverage from Caldera Brewing. The Procedure

• Patients will check-in, have their consultation, then have their procedure
• Vasectomy is a minimally invasive outpatient procedure

Post-Procedure

• You must arrange a ride home after leaving our office
• Semen analysis will be required for 6-8 weeks or 20 ejaculations after your vasectomy and 10-12 weeks.

Cost and Billing

• One fee includes examination, consultation before the procedure, and the vasectomy pro- Insurance companies will be billed first. Please note that some insurance companies will authorize the consultation and procedure on the same day.
• Discount for self-pay patients.
